How do organizations learn through their innovative endeavors?
Participating in adaptive work offers a tremendous learning opportunity. How effective are we at increasing our collective creative thinking capacity; being more open and responsive to thinking contrary to our own; being respectful of those who challenge our notions; understanding the systemic implications of implementation; and managing unintended consequences of our experiments? Innovating can increase greatly our adaptive capabilities, yet only when we ‘notice what we are noticing’ in ways that assure we translate the lessons we are learning into sustainable next practices. In this workshop we will identify how we can build a ‘learning organization’ in support of our commitment to innovation and change.
